Family Assistants are typically college educated and early in their careers, looking for a dynamic, hands on role supporting busy households.
They can support with childcare, but also bring strong organizational and technical skills to help manage schedules, logistics, projects, and everyday tasks. The goal is simple. Take things off your plate so you can focus on what matters most.
-
Our Family Assistants bring a unique mix of childcare experience and real career initiative.
All are college educated and early in their careers, which means they are energetic, capable, and eager to take on a wide range of responsibilities.
We love to describe them as “Someone who can kick the soccer ball while simultaneously booking and planning the family vacation”

Two years has proven to be the ideal timeframe for this role. In our experience, it gives families meaningful support while also aligning with the natural evolution of families lives.
Over the course of two years, children grow, schedules shift, and household needs often change. Some families find they no longer need full time support, while others choose to continue in the program with a new Family Assistant who steps in seamlessly.
At the end of the contract, both the family and the assistant have the option to renew for another term or transition to the next chapter. This structure creates clarity from the start and helps avoid difficult conversations later, while still allowing flexibility for both sides.
-
Every family is different, so the role is flexible, but the goal is simple: A capable extra set of hands that allows you to stay organized, lighten your workload, and focus more on your family.
Family Assistants can help manage schedules, coordinate activities, run errands, assist with school logistics, organize the home, help with travel planning, manage household to do lists, and support the many small details that come with a busy household.
-
A Family Assistant does much more than traditional childcare. While they can support with children, their role is much broader.
Family Assistants help manage schedules, organize household tasks, coordinate logistics, and handle day to day responsibilities that keep a busy household running smoothly.
Think of them as a trusted right hand and someone who can step in wherever support is needed, giving you more time to focus on work, family, and the things that matter most.
-
Hiring a Family Assistant provides more than just household support, it’s an opportunity to positively impact someone’s career and growth.
Family Assistants are often early in their careers, seeking hands-on experience in a dynamic role. By providing mentorship, guidance, and a structured full-time position, you’re helping them develop professional skills, explore career paths, and gain real-world experience they can carry forward.
We often see that families who invest in their assistant often find that this relationship becomes transformative for both sides.
-
Our program charges a one-time set fee for the 2-year contract.
All Family Assistants are required to have a full-time salary. We work together during the hiring process to determine salary based on hours, needs, and location of your family.
-
Our program operates on a rotational schedule, with Family Assistants typically starting in the Fall as families settle back into their routines after summer.
We’ll hop on a call so we can get to know you, your household, and your specific needs. Once we have your information and paperwork, we’ll start matching you with Family Assistants!
You’ll have the opportunity to interview candidates and select the one who feels right for your family.
After the match is confirmed, we’ll finalize the contract and set an official start date. Our goal is to make the transition seamless for everyone.
-
Yes. All of our Family Assistants are college educated and technically skilled to help manage a busy household.
-
Our program is designed for full time Family Assistants only. This ensures structure, stability, and a livable wage for the assistant.
We’ve found that part time roles almost always expand to full time. Families quickly discover how much support they really need.
Many who were initially hesitant to hire full time find that a Family Assistant transforms their household, helping with everything they didn’t realize was taking up their time and energy.
